Ron Dahlberg
March 15th, 1937- February 13, 2008
Ron founded Rolida Retriever Kennels because he had a passion for training gun dogs. He trained each of his customer's dogs as if they were his own and achieved hundreds of AKC titles, won trials, and produced great hunting dogs for their owners. Ron never wavered in his ethics or commitment to training gun dogs. For over 20 years Ron mentored his son Dave who shares the same passion. Today Dave carries on his father's legacy and will continue his father's values and commitment in training the best hunting dog possible. Ron will forever be loved and missed by his family, friends, and customers.
To my departed friends, may tall grass sway in the wind with abundant birds flying by, the biggest lake to swim, and a warm place to lay your head.
Bella
Bella passed from old age, she had a heart of gold and an unending spirit to hunt. She was a National Amateur Test Dog.
Niki
Niki passed from old age, she was a ball of energy and always brought it to the hunt with her. She was an accomplished hunter achieving a Master Hunter Title.
Fish
Fish passed away from cancer though his owner did all he could to save him. Fish was far too young to leave the hunting world. While he was with us he accomplished great things and we will never forget him. Accomplished Junior Hunter Title
Rocky
Rocky a tough old guy but always got his bird. Excellent marker and retriever, truly one of the best. Accomplished Senior Hunter Title.
Trip
Trip a fantastic hunter made sure to put all others in their place. For when Trip walked to the line in the field trials he demanded respect and got it. A great field trial competitor qualified all age.
Chukar
Chukar was a great hunting dog and made her owner proud. She passed from old age and will be greatly missed.
Casey
Casey was one heck of a dog earning her Senior Hunting Title. Even near the end she nailed a triple mark with no problems. We will never forget Casey's drive and spirit.
Bear
One of my favorite dogs. Bear had a heart of a champion, you earned your keep and were a joy to watch in the field. I have the joy of training many of your pups, all turning out to be amazing dogs. You will be greatly missed.
Phoenix
You were a good old girl. She was a go getter even in her old age.
